Dear Sir/Madam,
I’ve already invented a micronation, and in fact it was invented 8 years ago, but it was probably missed in Lonely Planet’s guide, as they were probably looking for terrestrial tourist attractions of the micronational variety, and/or some humorous human characters, not actual competition to the so-called “real world,” that world that is inferior to our Fifth World.
The micronation I mention is the dual cyberstate of TTF-Bucksfan. It has few people, 17 or 18 at last count, and yet…
1. It runs a research-oriented university, Bucksfan University, which is doing advanced research in several areas of human endeavour.
2. It has its own church, the Cesidian Church, and its own novel theology.
3. It has its own news agency, Cyberterra News, which publishes news pieces in English, Italian, and sometimes even in Interlingua.
4. It runs its own email portal at mail.5wmail.com, powered by Windows Live.
5. It owns its own IPv4 network (256 nodes or IPs).
6. It even runs its own Internet, the Cesidian Root, an Internet advanced enough to be able to already resolve Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs) not just on the domain level, but also on the TLD level.
TTF-Bucksfan has also given birth to impressive institutions, just like any real state:
1. The Fifth World Council (5WC), an international association of Fifth World nations.
2. The Micronational Professional Registry (MPR), a Fifth and Sixth World Employment Agency and Intermicronational Chamber of Commerce.
3. The Fifth World Council Accreditation Agency (5WCAA), a Fifth World institutional accreditation agency for certain kinds of institutions, such as real service providing government agencies, professional registries, employment agencies, chambers of commerce, universities, schools, news agencies, and root nameserver systems.
4. The Centre for Cesidian Law, which was started because Cesidian Law has already become that complex and advanced.
5. The Cesidian Church Healing Ministry, which is just the start of a Naturopathic/Holistic Health centre.
TTF-Bucksfan doesn’t claim any territory on earth, however, and is more a State of Mind than a state of land. TTF-Bucksfan has its own:
1. Time/Calendar Standards (Cesidian Calendar; Swatch or Internet Time; the Fifth World Chronological Standard; Biel Mean Time (BMT) meridian).
2. Astrological System (Bucksfanian Astrology).
3. Legal Standards (Fifth World Declaration; Jus Cerebri Electronici; the 14 Commmandments; Cesidian Law).
4. Religious/Theological Standards (Cesidianism; Analytic Theology).
5. Race or Anthropology (Indigo race; Tribalisation; Webindigeneous peoples)
6. Linguistics (Tallinian Linguistic Classification or TLC System)
Legally speaking, TTF-Bucksfan is so advanced that it accepts 4 types of citizenship, and we may have developed an actual Theory of Everything, not just another theory of physics.
TTF-Bucksfan is recognised by the Kingdom of Pictland-in-Exile, a Fourth World nation; it enjoys informal relations with the Principality of Sealand (the King of TTF-Bucksfan is also a real Baron of Sealand); is recognised by members of both the 5WC and MPR; and has recently granted de facto recognition to Taiwan because it was actually forced to, by a Taiwanese citizen. TTF-Bucksfan may also soon gain formal recognition of Taiwan through the efforts of the Finnish YKON, a non-profit advocacy group for micronations.
Well, that pretty much sums it up.

I made a submission for the contest…did anyone get a confirmation? I didn’t, and I wish I knew for sure that it went through.
